I woke up today with the right energy and also got vibing to this old-time favorite playlist while doing my house chores, and one of the songs stuck and made me have an even better day, a song by Asa, one of the astounding Nigerian artist, whose lyrics you can't help but fall in love with as they are always filled with wisdom and very relatable.

'Be My Man' can be likened to how our mothers, especially African mothers warn about falling in love and not to act around a man, but when that one man that sweeps you off your feet comes by you, you can't help but break mama's rule, we are told to be conservative and not show a man that we love them, but this girl right here is throwing all that old mam's advice away and expressing her feelings without any restriction, like they say, taking it by force lol.
