From the Gallery to the Streets: Skateboards for Hope Turns Art into Impact
Back in 2016, Skateboards for Hope was already changing lives by donating used skateboards to young people in Kanesatake, Cuba, and Uganda, sparking creativity, confidence, and passion. With the help of more than 40 Montreal artists, each board was transformed into a one of a kind piece of art.
The exhibition, titled Fresh Hope, was curated and assembled by Adida Fallen Angel and his devoted partner Ana V. It was held at the Fresh Paint street art gallery and won the hearts of everyone who came to see it.
After the show, the painted decks were shipped to different parts of the world and donated to kids who face difficulties getting access to skate gear. A beautiful blend of art, love, and action.
