Víctor de León is the Branch Chief of Intergovernmental Affairs for the Office of the Commissioner at the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) in Washington, D.C. In this capacity, Mr. de León serves as the principal liaison to the Commissioner and senior CBP leadership on state and local matters regarding statewide-elected officials, including governors, mayors, and county officials, as well as the national associations that represent them. Further, he provides guidance on strategic engagement opportunities and helps to forge consensus on critical issues involving travel and trade, border security, and
countering terrorism and transnational crime.
