There are growing concerns among the major supermarkets as national egg supplies run critically low due to a bird flu outbreak with shoppers urged not to stockpile with Coles enforcing a two-carton limit per customer. More than half a million chickens have been euthanased so far with 5 farms across Victoria now infected. The worsening situation has farmers and small business owners worried for their livelihoods.
