VICTORY OVER TAPPING OUT (MENTAL BREAKDOWN) | THE WAR WITHIN SERIES

Listen Later

1 Kings 19:1-9 NLT

Premise -In God, you don’t have permission to quit! Finding a solution and giving up are two different things and we must learn as believers to adjust, shift, and pivot rather than tapping out. The earth needs you! Why? Because you are a key player and component in the story of God and you quitting means we all lose. So allow Christ to pick you up, dust you off, and set you back on the path created for you.

Scriptural Insight

1. Perspective is key, the enemy can paint what you have done right as if it is wrong to get you to crumble. How you choose to view what you have done dictates how you will handle your future.
1 Kings 19:1 NLT

2. The reason for the many attacks on your mental, emotional, and physical health is because of who you are and what you represent. Never allow a threat of the enemy to overpower the truth of God’s word over your life! God has marked you and separated you for His purpose. Tapping out gives automatic victory to the enemy! The only time you lose or fail in the kingdom of God is when you quit! 1 Kings 19:2 NLT

3. Fear of tapping out physically or spiritually will cause you to not only flee assignments, places, and people but purpose. Don’t let your faith waver because of a small threat of hell. Fortify your mind with God’s word and push! 1 Kings 19:3 NLT

4. Sometimes isolation breeds negative thoughts, emotions, and outlooks if not rooted in God and His word. At this point you will assume that tapping out physically, emotionally, and mentally is the only way. But YOU MUST LIVE! 1 Kings 19:4 NLT

5. Rest in God, that’s where your answers are. Your solutions are not in stressing, worrying, or fearing. The results you are anticipating are wrapped up in the rest you need to enter! 1 Kings 19:5 NLT

6. Look around, what you need for the journey is already provided! 1 Kings 19:6 NLT

7. Preparation is needed for the journey ahead. You must ensure that you receive all that you need from God. This may be the reason tapping out was an option. You didn’t get all you needed! Stay still long enough for God to fill you not tease you. 1 Kings 19:7 NLT

8. The strength you need for your life’s journey is coupled with your ability to rest in God and your passion to hunger for Him. In doing so you will end up at the place of divine encounter. 1 Kings 19:8 NLT

9. Never assume isolation has no benefits. There are times when God uses isolation to start a conversation. 1 Kings 19:9 NLT
