“Shoes of peace”
Ephesians 6:13-15 NIV
Feet fitted for standing firm and ready to move quickly into battle.
Gospel of Peace
Isaiah 9:6 NLT
Jesus is the prince of peace.
John 14:26-27 NIV
What does Jesus actually give us?
Eiréné and Shalom: peace of mind; invocation of peace a common Jewish farewell, in the sense of the health (welfare) of an individual. When all essential parts are joined together, peace (God's gift of wholeness).
Satan is constantly trying to take our shoes off.
Three signs we are not wearing our shoes of peace.
1. We are easily upset.
Troubled
tarássō – to set in motion what needs to remain still (at ease); to
"trouble" ("agitate"), causing inner perplexity (emotional
agitation) from getting too
stirred up inside ("upset").
2. We often worry and complain.
Philippians 4:6-7 NLT
3. We don’t understand our worth, and our faith has become shallow.
Matthew 6:25-30 NLT
John 3:16 NIV
