In this episode we delve into one of, if not the most important topic when it comes to Video Gaming in a way that is healthy and supportive to ourselves and the world around us—Gaming addiction. This exploration is focussed around a chemical called Dopamine that is released when when we play games, as well as engage in other activities such as going on social media, making it one of the most common causes of addictive tendencies in this day and age. First I shed light on how this function works, how it affects the way we feel, and how detrimental large releases of it and dependence on it it can be to us if we are not careful. I then offer some recommendations about how we can use the knowledge and awareness gained in the Podcast to bring our relationship with Video Gaming, and life as a whole, into a more balanced, harmonious, and peaceful place.
