here's my notes from my message.

 

I. Opener -tell about my story of growing up in ybor city -show some of my dad's pieces -show some of my own graffiti pieces from ybor to cape coral -there was one guy that would come on that would always encourage me

-I thought this guy has magic powers … his brush covers everything .. he can jump in the painting -we dont make mistakes we have happy accidents

II. What does God say about us? Are we a mess or a masterpiece? -Last week was mother's day .. some of us got elaborate cards .. some of us got hand drawn kids cards

III. (GOD PROVIDES) You prepare a table before me     in the presence of my enemies. Psalm 23:5

-God promises to provide for you just like david -who are your enemies? -yourself -your past -your mistakes -your depression -your sin

IV. (GOD PAINTS) For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Ephesians 2:10

(You are God's handiwork) -God uses all the colors of your story to paint his masterpiece -God uses all the colors to proclaim his work -God aint boring.. just look at creation (i don't understand love bugs tho)

V. (GOD PROCLAIMS) 10 But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Luke 2:10

-who's getting sick of the bad news -there is good news for your situation… -Jesus takes your bad news and turns it into good news

VI. (GOD PROVES) 1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. Gen. 1:1-2 (He turns darkness to light)

-God looks at the void and says let me add something -God takes a blank canvas and says let me paint something -God is always in the business of of turning darkness to light

-all of these elements make up your masterpiece -you cant make a masterpiece w/out a mess -Have you given God your mess? -HE PROVIDES/PAINTS/PROVES/PROCLAIMS -now He's asking you will you let me make a mess into a message
