title: Patient Zero “Whats your foundation?”   intro: everyone reacts to storms differently  -some people freak out -some people get excited for them -some people get crazy -some people get stupid      1. Spider next to my door  -built his house in the storm  -as the winds rose he hung on -he didn’t crash cuz of his strength -he hung on cuz of what he was tied to    2. Scripture text  24 “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.   matt 7:24-25   3. How to weather the storm:  -my house survived because it was up high (we need to focus on above) -my house survived because it was close to the power (we need the Holy spirit)  -my house survived because it was near help (we need each other)  -my house survived because it was boarded up (we need to protect our house)   4. How to not weather the storm -have shallow roots -have a wide base -dont be pruned back     5. Scripture text:  26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”   matt 7: 26-27       6. You will go through a storm (examples)  -financial  -marital  -personal -physical -spiritual      7. the spider after the storm -he got blown away -he came back stronger  -you can’t have a testimony w/out a test    8. What are your storms? -are you going through one right now? -are you rebuilding? -is one on the way?
