God's destiny for us is to be conformed to the image of His Son.  His Son had no selfishness, no arrogance, no pride.  He was humble of heart.  He was full of grace and truth.  God will use anything and everything to conform us to the image of His Son and that is working all things for our good.

Is the world trying to distract you with its stress, its hurt, its temporary shallow stuff?  Gaze instead somewhere else.  Gaze upon The King, this heavenly King, your King who is your friend.  Give him your attention, your look.  One day Jesus will return for us and take us home to live forever.  That's the gospel, it's worth being beaten, jailed, disliked.  It's the only thing worth living for.
