What do you care about?  How much of life is consumed by the stresses and bondage of the world?  Jesus has done mighty works conquering sin and death.  He lives today as the resurrected Christ and we proclaim that through the power of the Holy Spirit, He can set you free from your sin, give you a new life and fill you with His Spirit.

Is the world trying to distract you with its stress, its hurt, its temporary shallow stuff?  Gaze instead somewhere else.  Gaze upon The King, this heavenly King, your King who is your friend.  Give him your attention, your look.  One day Jesus will return for us and take us home to live forever.  That's the gospel, it's worth being beaten, jailed, disliked.  It's the only thing worth living for.

Maybe you've been trying to help God see the benefits of your plan.  It makes great sense to you.  But you get the distinct impression that He's not buying what you're selling.
