A dramatic case of cryptocurrency theft case in Vietnam has come to an end as 16 defendants are sentenced over a plot involving the heist of VNĐ37 billion (approximately $1.5 million) worth of crypto.

The ordeal involved kidnapping and threatening the victim's family with HIV-laden needles.
