The NDP wanted an independent B.C. Utilities Commission and they got one.  The Commission turned down a proposed rate freeze stating an inadequate justification for move that would have hit the bottom line by $140 million.  The Vancouver Sun's Vaughn Palmer is here with his take on the day's headlines.
