Probably one of the main hindrances to spiritual growth that is common to most believers, is the failure to distinguish between spirit, soul, and body. One thing that will greatly help facilitate our spiritual growth, development, and maturity, is observing 1st Thessalonians 5:23.
The apostle Paul says, “I pray that your whole Spirit and Soul and Body would be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ”. Right here, in this verse, Paul gives us the Starting Point for understanding the most basic—and yet the most powerful—principle of spiritual growth; God’s Word and God’s Spirit deal with us on three levels, not just one or two.
