In the Gutters

Villains, Why?

Listen Later

Turk182 and Wallcrawler One question the motivations of comic book villains. Is it the desire to rule the world? A need for large amounts of cash quickly? The egotistical need to one up a former student or classmate? Or, do they just not know what it means to be a supervillain?

Either supervillains are bad at their jobs, or they don't know what their job is? Knocking over banks and beating up old butlers shouldn't be a full time occupation. Nor, should trying multiple times to rule the world. So, why do they persists at trying to be supervillains? And, why would you want to blow up the moon?

In The Gutters is a podcast about celebrating comic books, their creators, the influence they've had on readers, and everything that makes them great.

Turk and WC have been reading comic books for over two decades. They've read books by Marvel, DC, Dark Horse, Image, and other mainstream publishers; as well as comics from publishers that no longer exist, like Tundra, First, Now, Malibu, King Hell, Comico, Amazing, and more. If you love comic books, and comic talk, listen and subscribe.
