Villans Abroad is a new series by the All Villa No Filler podcast interviewing Aston Villa fans living outside the UK. In our first episode, Roisin and Frankie speak to the chairman of the Toronto Lions, Brett Bates.

Brett is a lifelong Villa fan from Birmingham who moved to Toronto, Canada. He tells us about his regular meet-ups with the Lions to watch Villa games and the close links they have with Villans all over North America, which includes a yearly gathering of the various fan groups. Brett also explains the fundraising done by the Toronto Lions for the Birmingham-based charity, Acorns, a partner of Aston Villa.
