Vineyard Church Messages

Everyone prays. Whether it's in moments of fear, desperation, gratitude, or hope, there's something deep within us that longs to reach beyond ourselves.

But what if prayer was never meant to be a last resort? What if it was always meant to begin with relationship?

In the first message of our new series, Pray or Be Prey, we explore the opening words of the Lord's Prayer: "Our Father in heaven..." Jesus doesn't begin by teaching us a formula—He begins by revealing a Father.

Discover how prayer shifts from obligation to intimacy, why seeing God rightly changes everything, how gratitude builds trust in God's goodness, and why prayer is one of the greatest weapons we have in the unseen spiritual battle.

Whether you've been following Jesus for decades or you're simply curious about prayer, this message is an invitation to stop living like an orphan and rediscover what it means to come home to the Father.
