According to a report by Statistics Canada, Canadians with a disability are twice as likely to be the victim of a violent crime. Nearly four out of ten violent crimes involve a victim with a disability. For women with a disability, the statistics are even bleaker.
Karine Myrgianie Jean-François is the senior project manager at DAWN-RAFH Canada. She discusses violence against women with disabilities in Canada and explores possible solutions.
