Violet Roumeliotis is the 2017 Telstra Business Woman of the Year for her work as CEO of Settlement Services International, where she leads the advocacy and support of migrants and refugees. One of SSI’s initiatives is Ignite Small Business, a program that helps newly arrived refugees overcome barriers to entrepreneurship. Since inception in 2013, the Ignite program has assisted more than 450 refugees from 30 countries launch their own businesses and become financially independent. UTS Professor, Jock Collins in his evaluation calculated that the program had saved the government $4.5m in welfare costs over 5 years. The daughter of Greek migrants and small business owners herself, Violet is passionate about creating a society that values the diversity of its people and that provides support to ensure meaningful social and economic participation and to assist individuals and families to reach their potential.

Daniel is the Managing Director of Chironix which operates throughout A/NZ and the USA. He has a deep interest in artificial intelligence, space technologies, mobile robotics, human memory, cyber operations, cognitive studies & social processes. Daniel also served for two years in the Navy Strategy Executive in the Office of the Chief of Navy as the Deputy Director of Technological Solutions. The Advanced Manufacturing Growth Centre (AMGC)  is a not-for-profit, industry-led organisation that was formed as part of the Federal Government’s Growth Centres initiatives and tasked with supporting (and advancing) Australian manufacturing in all of its forms.
