The world is dark, but civilization remains alive.  Forced underground by the Long Dark, humanity has been forced into isolated towns buried deep within intricate cave systems.  Carric Stormwind, a contractor for the local mage's college, receives a strange letter from his mother, long thought to be lost many years ago.  Swept by invisible winds of change, Carric gathers his friends to explore the meaning behind her words.
