Welcome to the Hiking My Feelings Virtual Campfire. This 20-day event is a fundraiser for the Hiking My Feelings Wilderness Wellness Center, the American Diabetes Association, and RAINN - the nation's largest anti-sexual violence organization.

Each night from May 26-June 14, 2020 we are going live at 5pm PT to bring inspiration, hope, and healing to the community in these uncertain times.

If you find value in what we're sharing here, please consider making a contribution to our non-profit organization. You can get tickets to the Virtual Campfire at https://hikingmyfeelings.org/campfire and you can make a one-time donation at https://hikingmyfeelings.org/give

Our guests tonight are:

Up first, Hannah Betts. She's a world champion skydiver turned Hollywood stunt woman and to say that she's an inspiration is an understatement. She has been thriving in male-dominated environments for most of her career and we're talk about what it means to be an outspoken and confident woman in those spaces. When my primary skydiving coach was arrested on six felony counts of sexual assault with a 14-year-old girl, Hannah helped me through it. I fancied myself a feminist before I started skydiving, and in working with and talking to Hannah in the aftermath of my skydiving career, I realized I had been accepting a lot of things that were 100% not okay. You can find Hannah on Instagram at http://instagram.com/hannahbetts1

Whether you see KBong rockin' the keys with Stick Figure or with his band for his solo career, his energy is contagious. We had the pleasure of spending the weekend with Kevin out here at the Reggae Ranch over the weekend and I am still feeling the good vibes. We talk about his love for the outdoors and how it influences his creative process between songs:

"Need a Ride"

"Jam by the Fire"

A few lines of a song he wrote at the Reggae Ranch (inspired by blazing trails and Hiking My Feelings) A brand new song - the working title is "Goodbye My Friend"

Tonight's #HikingMyFeelings family member is Sara Funchess. Back in October, Barry realized that one of the pictures we took at Parsons Landing during our second trek across the #TransCatalinaTrail looked exactly like the cover art for The Movement's newest album "Ways of the World" which came out a year after we took those photos. The Movement reposted that photo and the story that went with it, and that's how Sara found us.

Connected by our love for the music, we met at our tour stop in Fort Worth, and it has been so awesome to get to know Sara over the past few months via our Read + Reflect program. We had a great chat about how spending time outside has helped her stay sober, and hear more about her goals to help other people find healing in nature. The more people we have out here doing this work, the better!

We go live at 5pm PT, link in bio for more deets!
