Unfortunately for Ian, Scott has more in common with Scarfaces Tony Montana than Apples Steve Jobs, and things go from questionable to deadly in no time flat. As Scotts confidant and consigliore, Ian soon finds himself caught between the Feds, La Cosa Nostra, and the Cali Cartel in a fatal game of corporate winner-take-all. Kays masterfully weaves the nuts and bolts of legal maneuverings and corporate worst-practices into an engaging and unpredictable thrill-ride of a crime novel.
Filled with wry humor and twists and turns galore, Virtual Vice keeps you guessing and wanting more while entertaining every step of the way.
Members Reviews:
Low budget productions kill a good story!
I really don't know if this turned out to be a good story or not because I stopped listening after the first part. The audio sounds like it was recorded in the guys kitchen and he is not a good reader as in, no character acting and even worse an inability to stay focused on what he is reading. Pauses and improper emphasis kept me guessing what he was talking about. This type of reading kept me distracted from the story line. Too bad, it may have been a good story but it needs a professional audio production with a better reader.
not worth the time
This book wasnt for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
maybe someone who knows the author or others named in the story
What was most disappointing about Jason M Kayss story?
The main gist was an on going character assassination and it went on too long
How could the performance have been better?
Someone else should have read. The author has a somewhat droning voice.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Really disappointed I spent a credit on it
Any additional comments?
It was a total waste, however, it did entice me to look up "hooker nun" and Ian McKenzie on the web
