Buzzwords are what one turns to when one has nothing meaningful to say and no moral or intellectual leg to stand on.  When someone accuses you of virtue signaling, it means they feel threatened by your message and are trying to undermine it in any way they can.  It also means you're on the right track and you should never, ever stop.
