Full disclosure: I'm a gay, black woman. Though, I've never seen myself as marginalized or disparaged. Rather, it's more so been a matter of seeing myself as a human being with a host of obstacles that I've needed to get through.
My wonder though is why so many people are 1) choosing to virtue signal to show their allegiance to marginalized people and 2) choosing to see themselves as a marginalized person rather than someone whose just been plopped off on this earth with obstacles to get through in order to reach their end goal, which for most of us is simply to be happy?
