The gospel not only saves us, but begins to transform us from the inside out. This process of growing in character is fundamental to Jesus' work of building His Church. In 1 Peter 2:1, Peter says to "put off" or get rid of, five toxic traits. As we learn to love one another deeply, we are "being built up as a spiritual house."
