As Paul writes a letter to his beloved friend Philemon, he shares with him how Onesimus has been restored in his usefulness for the kingdom of God. Paul makes an appeal for Onesimus like Jesus makes an appeal for us. God expects us to serve. In order to serve we must see each other’s value, sympathize with pain, and then seize the opportunity.
