Vision Church Podcast

Knowing about Jesus and actually following Him are two different things. We can try to be good, do all the right things, and still miss what it means to truly know Him. In Week 1 of Follow, we look at why we all need God's grace, what Jesus did for us on the cross, and how genuine faith changes the way we live.

Does following Jesus change the way you show up at work? Whether you love your job, struggle with your boss, or just work to pay the bills, God cares about how you do your work. In "Is Jesus Up in Your Business?", we'll look at what it means to honor Jesus in our everyday work, even when no one's watching.

What does it look like to put Jesus first in our homes? In Colossians 3:18-21, we learn how love, leadership, and serving one another can help build marriages and families that reflect Christ.

Is Jesus really in charge of your life? Following Him should change how we treat others, how we forgive, and the choices we make every day. In Colossians 3, we learn what it looks like to let Jesus call the shots in every area of our lives.

When Christ moves in, your old life has to move out! Join us this week as we continue in our Jesus Over Everything series. We dive into Colossians, Chapter 3 - Paul reminds us of specific sins we must put to death. We should not look and sound like what we did before salvation. The Christian life is a beautiful union of both surrender and strategy, we must take up our cross daily!

This world may be where we live, but it isn’t where we belong. Is This World Your Home? looks at what it means to be united with Christ—and how that changes the way we live right here, right now.

It’s easy to feel like we need to do more, experience more, or sacrifice more to be good enough for God. But we don’t have to prove ourselves—our security is found in what Jesus has already done.

In Colossians 2:6–15, Paul gives us practical lessons for how to live faithfully in Christ. Spiritual maturity doesn’t mean needing Jesus less, but learning to depend on Him more as we stay rooted and built up in our faith. We are warned not to be captivated by empty philosophies or counterfeits that pull our hearts away from Christ, because in Him we already have what we need most. Instead of striving to earn what Jesus has already secured, we can rest in His finished work, knowing that through the cross He has set us free from the guilt, shame, and debt of sin and has triumphed over the power of the enemy.

We will go through trials and tribulations while here on earth but doing so joyfully in Christ will lead others to God! Join us this week as we continue in the Series: Jesus Over Everything. This week we continue in the Book of Colossians and are reminded we are to live with no regrets, joyfully share the Gospel, no matter the cost.

In Gospel 101, we’re getting back to the heart of the gospel: who we were without Christ, what Jesus did for us, and who we are because of Him. Your past may be part of your story, but it doesn’t define you—Jesus does
