In today's episode, we talk with Rand Booth. Rand has been a professional chef for over 18 years in New York, Boston, San Francisco & San Diego. After over 300,000 hours on his feet in kitchens, Rand made a bold choice & decided to shift lanes. Using his love for smoking foods, Rand has set out to do something that no one else is doing, to smoke coffee. We do live in California, but when we say "smoke coffee" we mean using wood smoke in the roasting process. It was this drive for creativity and a unique vision that led us to want a deeper conversation with Rand when we met him a few weeks ago at the Ocean Beach Farmer's Market.
