Almost 15 years ago, a little after the world shaking events of 9/11, an ambitious group of people gathered in Edmonton and dreamed of a church that would be “radically inclusive, spiritually vibrant, life restoring and world transforming”. Today, by God’s grace, this community exists. But, it’s not time to rest on our laurels or go back to the comfort of a less radical vision. God has even greater things in store for us a community. For, as Hebrews 11 reminds us, we are building the kind of transformed community fit to dwell in the great city “whose designer and builder is God”.
