Vivid Sydney 2026 will run for 23 days from late May into June, expanding beyond its traditional light displays to include daytime experiences for the first time. The festival features a six-kilometre walk between Circular Quay and Darling Harbour, with light sculptures from 9am, a returning drone show at Cockle Bay, and a 23-metre tower with a glowing meteorite at Barangaroo. For the first time, members of the public can submit their own lighting designs, with more than 80% of the festival free of charge.
