On the road to Emmaus two disciples encounter the risen Jesus.  What he teaches them about himself doesn’t only open their eyes to recognize him but more importantly their hearts are open to receive the crucified and risen Savior.  If our hearts are not dealt with we can do everything we think we are supposed to do to be Christian and still miss Jesus.  In this moment Jesus is consistent with how he changes people…from the inside out.
