Seriously, though, there are those that take the notion of vocational discernment out of the larger context of the calls God places on our hearts, and out of context, discerning things like marriage or religious life is well-nigh impossible. Having a well-ordered understanding of God's calls, and discerning them properly, and acting rightly in the moment, are extraordinarily important in living out a full Catholic life.
