Whether we like it or not, the same way a sailor has no control over the existence of a storm is the same way we have no control over what storm we will face in life.

So a believer can go through stormy seasons. But because all things work together for good for those who love God and are called according to his purpose, what may seem to be negative to men is only a path to glory as far as God's agenda is concerned. Even though we have no control over the coming of the storm, we have control over our experience or outcome. We can silence storms. ‎And a critical part to silencing storms is our declaration and confessions. 

In this episode, we discuss how we can leverage confessions and declarations in silencing the storms of life, and gaining command of the affairs of life.

God’s desire is for us to be beneficiaries of His glory……not for a moment, but for a lifetime. We can experience the goodness of God in such a way that the aftermath of that experience is not for a moment but for a lifetime. God’s desire is for us to go from glory to glory. But an important part of this progressive experience is a deep-seated knowledge and revelation of the words. Divine intervention can cause us to experience a miracle. But it takes revelational knowledge of the word to sustain and replicate miracles. Heb 1:3 tells us that even God sustains all things by the word of his power. Jesus quoted Deut 8:3 which says “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.”

In the Old Testament, the glory of God manifested in the form of cloud, fire, and different mediums. But then in the New Testament and in the New Covenant, the glory of God is manifest through the Word, and it is through revelational insight (or what we call Rhema, or Light) that the glory is revealed. 2 Corinthians 3:18 says “But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.

For every dealing of God in the Old Testament, there is a greater dimension in the New Testament. This is because the New Covenant—described in the New Testament—offers better promises (Hebrews 8:6). The revelation of God’s glory is no exception. Moses witnessed God’s glory, which transformed him until his face radiated. While this happened in the Old Testament, there is a corresponding reality in the New Testament under the New Covenant. Despite Moses’s experience, Jesus stated that John was greater than Moses, and that the least of us in the New Covenant is greater than John. This indicates that we, under the New Covenant, can encounter God’s glory in an even greater way.

When fellowship becomes a habit, we become clothed with the glory of God. Adam and Eve were naked in the garden of Eden, and they did not know until they sinned because the glory of God covered them. At the root of that glory that covered them was a daily fellowship that they enjoyed with God. Fellowship and commission with God are powerful triggers for the glory of God because it is fellowship and communion that the glory of God robs off on you. When purity or holiness becomes our characteristic or quality, we bring ourselves to a place where we share the same nature with God, and when we share the same nature with God, our lives become a conducive host of God's presence. And when our lives become a conducive environment that hosts the presence of God, God himself gravitates in our direction, along with his glory.
