Soring involves the intentional infliction of pain to a horse's legs or hoofs in order to force the horse to perform an artificial exaggerated gait, causing extreme pain and suffering. Take Action to help end cruel horse soring.

This common and widespread practice has been used for over half a century in walking horse shows. Horse show judges continue to reward this "big lick" gait which encourages the cruel practice of Prevent All Soring Tactics (PAST) Act (H.R. 1684)
