Voices from the Field - Episode 09 - “Uncovering the Forced and/or Coerced Sterilization of Indigenous Women”
This ninth in a series of Voices from the Field podcasts is based on a keynote address, “Uncovering the Forced and/or Coerced Sterilization of Indigenous Women,” delivered by Senator Yvonne Boyer and Dr. Judith Bartlett on January 28, 2020. It was recorded at the National Collaborating Centre for Indigenous Health’s (NCCIH) national gathering on Culturally Informed Choice and Consent in Indigenous Health Services held in Ottawa. The focus of the keynote was based on the findings from the seminal paper, External Review on Tubal Ligation in the Saskatoon Health Region: The Lived Experience of Aboriginal Women co-authored by Senator Boyer and Dr. Bartlett.
