Voices of Journalism is a monthly show where we sit down with early career journalists and explore the challenges of the fast-paced reporting world, particularly as a result of Covid-19.
On this episode, Wasi sat down with Edduardo Baptista, a Half Korean, Half Portuguese Journalist, working in Hong Kong. He's been in the industry a few years, freelancing in China and interning at a few organizations such as CNN and the Nikkei Asian Review. A Yenching Scholar from Peking University, and a post-graduate in Journalism from the University of Hong Kong Class of 2020, he now works at the South China Morning Post (SCMP). With the past year in Hong Kong having seen numerous disruptions in activity due to protests and now the Coronavirus, we learn how Eddie's responding to the newer challenges to journalists, while still dealing with the old demands of a fast-paced profession.
