The movement towards clean energy is gathering pace, as countries and companies around the globe work towards making our planet safer and livable for all. One big part of such a change is encouraging investment and introducing legislation, yet these policies can vary significantly in different places. While clear energy is a noble endeavor, the complex reality of the many uncoordinated efforts makes this movement very different in terms of impact, and can even end up hindering efforts. For this episode, Dr. Jingong Huang from the School of Economics drops into the Lab to talk about his research into clean energy policies around the world. Jingong demonstrates how ad hoc policies may be ineffective at lessening global emissions, and argues that a coordinated international policy framework is required to stop pollution.
