Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass was never far from the stereo in my parents’ living room. The TJB easily has the highest number of records represented in my dad’s collection with 12. The second highest is Henry Mancini with 7. And, of course, it’s the ultimate representation of the happy music I grew up with I talk so much about.
