States can now purge their voter rolls of citizens who have not voted or opted out of voting for a two year period. The Supreme Court ruled 5-4 in favor of this practice which has been in use in Ohio but was challenged by voting rights advocates who claim such laws affect minority voters and will increase disenfranchisement.
