Must read during this election season

This is a great book for parents and kids to read together to get a better understanding our electoral process especially during this election season. Lots of great info, history and interesting antecdotes. I bought 2 copies for my middle school library, and one for each of my nieces and nephews.

I was looking for a book about the election process that my 13 y.o would read without too much push-back. While he did gripe a bit in the beginning, soon all I heard was silence. He was reading and learning about American elections. I like that the author put in stories about certain people in history, that kept my son engaged. I also began reading and relearning some areas of the process that I forgot about. I highly recommend this book!

Accessible and entertaining primer on modern US elections and how they came to be.

This is not only a great primer on elections and voting in the US, it's also a resource for a succinct account of how our current election system came to be. I've aged out of the young person category (36 years old, when did that happen?!), and I still found this book to be super accessible and even entertaining. I'd definitely recommend this book.
