In Matthew 22 Jesus had just finished sharing a bunch of parables regarding the Kingdom (more about that later). It is after his last parable that two opposing “political” parties decided to team-up and try to trap Jesus by getting him to sling mud one way or the other. It is here that we witness Jesus masterfully handle the politics of his day and we learn a few things about how to handle politics in ours.
