Let's Chat About ALL the History Around Voting Rights & What the Future Holds for Voting Day Tuesday, November 8th, 2022.
Hi everyone, as a result of A LOT more knowledge I've collected in the past couple months on the underlying issues with all the changes occurring with voting laws across the country, I felt a strong OBLIGATION to put out this bonus episode sharing that new knowledge with all of you.
In a nutshell I've come to learn that the "meat and bones" of the 1965 voting rights act has all but been eliminated over the past decade and this year a new precedent was set by the John Roberts led Supreme Court that has further nullified the act.
There is SO much chatter and fussing going on from all sides in regard to this issue, and it has recently led me to KNOW that the moral to the story at this time is: NOBODY IS COMING TO SAVE US!!! WE ARE OUR RESOURCE, and the way we show up for ourselves is via our vote!
So, if you're like me, you hear people "in the know" pontificating on the significance of this new law or that new law and the importance and link to the 2022 elections. AND if you're anything like me, you find it a bit annoying that these know-it-alls don't take the time COMPLETELY break down THAT significance and link to the 2022 elections. If you're anything like me, you may think who gives a "F" about the 2022 elections, or midterm elections. BUT!!
JUST tonight, I simply googled the term what happens in the 2022 elections and BINGO, it's really clear, REALLY quickly what all the fuss is about.
PEOPLE, in 2022 78% of the state governors are up for election. ALL of the 435 House of Representatives seats are up for election and 34 Senate seats are up for election. In this episode I take the time to read to you EVERY state that has a Senate seat race, and I tell you the entire list of governor seats up for election.
