God calls His people to two things simultaneously: stay together, but also go out. By staying together, the early church was born -- a place where people were devoted to the word of God and prayer, genuine love and affection in fellowship, and breaking bread together. But at the same time, God issued to His followers the Great Commission -- to make disciples of all nations. This is the pattern of Scripture we see: God builds the church, people get close, then people are sent, to replicate the body of Christ in more places and to continue obeying the Great Commission. Listen on to hear how DP relates this pattern in the New Testament to the future of Voyage Chicago church and challenges us to think about the kind of church we want to build here in Chicago.
