Who doesn't want superpowers? If I had a superpower, it would be to control the weather. Unfortunately, that's probably not in the cards for me. But the good news is, anyone in leadership or anyone who wants to connect more with others already has a powerful capability right now - being vulnerable. And the even better news for women is that women generally have more tendencies towards allowing themselves to be vulnerable, and that can make them incredible leaders.
We often think of leaders or bosses as cold and distant - standing apart with all of the answers. But most of us don't have the answers. I'm not saying turn into an emotional puddle at work. Boundaries are always important. But if you want to gain a better community at work, build more trust with those around you, and have a powerful force for good on your side, learning to be vulnerable is a great place to start.
