A 33-year-old Western Australian man, Michael Bryan Becton, has been sentenced to 24 years and six months in prison for 77 child sex offences against six victims, including a two-month-old baby. Becton, who was trusted as a babysitter, abused children known to him, with police discovering nearly 18,000 photos and videos during a raid on his home. The District Court described the crimes as some of the most depraved ever seen in the state, with the sentence ranking among the harshest handed down in Western Australia over the past decade.
