Welcome to the first episode of Decolonizing Power, a podcast series hosted by Mihskakwan James Harper and Freddie Huppé Campbell, produced for Indigenous Clean Energy.

This episode takes us into the community of Kiashke Zaaging Anishinaabek (KZA)– Gull Bay First Nation, an Ojibwe Nation located on the western shores of Lake Nipigon and the surrounding territory in Canada.

Anthony (AJ) Esquega, KZA's Mashkawiziiwin Energy Project Coordinator, takes us on a journey of decolonizing power in Gull Bay. Listen to his stories and experiences during the project, find out what the microgrid means for his community and learn more about his views on sustainability.

Thank you to Sam Shonias, Hydro One Remotes Gull Bay DGS Site Operator, who provided the generator recording you hear in this episode.
