The FBI were stuck in a heated stand-off with a small religious group, led by self-proclaimed messiah David Koresh. The group, known as the Branch Davidians, spent their days studying scripture through Koresh’s perspective and living together at their compound.
Within 51-days of the start of the siege, the church was reduced to ash and 86 people had died as a result – 22 of whom were children.
Only a small minority can call themselves Waco Survivors; David Thibodeau is one.
