The story is that this is a Wagner mercenary working for the Russians. He betrayed Russia, and went to fight for Ukraine. He got captured in Russian-held territory in Ukraine by the Russians again. They found out he was a traitor, handed him over to the Wagner mercenaries, and they "took care of him" with a sledgehammer.
