American historical narrative has been neglected, sidelined and in some cases seen as an unacceptable threat to the comfort of some people.

I want to share a story written be Gil Scott Heron. It's hilarious because it's true. Sad because it's true. He articulates the comfort zone, albeit a lie, that would please the ears and textbooks across America.
