OK read and barely OK narration..

Emma was in love with the bosss son, Lucas. But Lucas was so busy with his pity-parties that he didnt seem to notice her. But Lucass father noticed how Emma looked at his son and how often Lucas smiled when he thanked Emma for anything. So, the matchmaking began. And the matchmaking was sweet BUT Lucas was such an jerk through the entire book that he was really hard to like.

He thought that just because of an injury that cost him his football career that he had to close himself off from the world, that that Lucas Montgomery was dead, so he was going to spend the rest of his life alone in the mountains. Without football he was nothing. Jeez, how stupid.

And the way he treated Emma was lousy. She should have dumped his rear-end. His self-pity got to be a little much, really.

Overall, the story was decent and the players were nice, except for Lucas.

There was desire in the story but all sex was fade-to-black and there was a small amount of swearing.

As to the narrator: I dont know if Id call him frantic, as another reviewer called the narration, but Kevin Collins did give the impression that he was in a hurry. There was no hesitation after a period or before a paragraph. All the words seemed to be a run-on sentence and there were not very many emotions so I really didnt care how the voices were since everything else was so bad. I dont think I would care to listen to Kevin T. Collins again.

too frantic

felt like the narator was in a hurry to get the story finished and it was read frantically. The story it self was okay but it felt lacking. Things just seemed like they were set in 60's and the characters were too snappy.
